As the Head of Social Media Marketing at Verizon Media, Liz directs a team of social strategists and content creators to manage and execute social media campaigns across Verizon Media consumer brands and products. Her team includes strategists, community manager, editors, art director, copywriter, video producers and analyst that provide a full-funnel approach to Social campaigns. She also works with media agencies to provide strategy for Paid Social tactics, while using Sprinklr MarTech to leverage owned/earned social to engage, react and drive the campaign messaging to the billions of members across the brands social ecosystem.
Before leading the social marketing team at Verizon Media, Liz worked on audience development and content creation for other tech businesses, including Shutterstock and Flickr. She pioneered the roles at these companies by leveraging the web community in the manner of Facebook or Twitter to incentivize a passionate network of contributors and buyers on social media to grow the brand perception and daily usage. Liz’s foundational philosophy about utilizing social media for outreach began with her employment at the advertising agency DDB SF, but was truly formed when she managed and co-owned her New York art gallery, Finch and Ada. She soon became part of the avant-garde new school of art dealers who used the Internet to buy, sell, and create art exhibitions using social media to reach a global community of artists.
With over 15K tweets and counting, Liz is an avid member of the social media community. Mrs. Lapp was awarded the Cynopsis Digital Media “IT LIST” and has spoken on several industry leadership panels, including the Sprinklr Digital Transformation Summit and Social Media Week. Some of her favorite accounts are Beyonce, Pugs Of Instagram, Nike Women and NBA on TNT. And like a true Pisces, her intuitive nature drives her curiosity and her impact as a thought leader in the social media marketing space.
